S-quadrat is an art and design collective co-founded by writer/director Stefan Ebling
and art-director/designer Sabine Schmekel.

Sabine and Stefan met at the Plymouth College of Art in 1996. Stefan was
on a degree course in Film and Photography, while Sabine was taking a break from
her design studies in Germany and enrolled on a metal design course.
They quickly discovered their common interests in art, film, photography and
architecture.

After graduation they both pursued their own careers before joining forces on
a film project for Braun in 1999. Pleased not only with the result but also with the
inspiring and fun teamwork they decided to develop their collaboration further.
Assignments for Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Telekom, The National Ballet Freiburg
and DaimlerChrysler followed.

Several of their projects won international awards at the New York Film Festival,
the World Media Awards, the International Corporate Film Festival Vienna and the
ADC Awards.

The success of their work finally lead to the decision to promote their collective
output under one single name.

S-quadrat is not an agency, nor a production company. The idea of s-quadrat is to
deliver fresh concepts and ideas for film, print and web. And to bring those ideas to
life in various forms and media.

S-quadrat is very interested in collaborating with other talents from all fields of art,
design, photography and architecture.

We look forward to hearing from you!
